When shall we wake up?

·
I
I tweeted recently to point out that the salary scale debate, like many other subjects, cannot be resolved by "turning around the pot" like the Parliamentary Commission and its President are doing presently.

·         Let me summarize briefly, once more.

We are losing EVERY YEAR four billion US$ as follows:

Mazout consumption at EDL because the new plants have not been built: $1.5 billions (dixit Gebran Bassil),

Dilapidations of funds at EDL (that could be discovered if Accounts and Management at EDL are done seriously: $0,5 billion

Revenue of $1.7 billion is not recuperated in the 6% Real Estate Registration Fees because the MOF neglects it (4) Revenue of $0.3 billion in foreign workers'permit fees is not recuperated correctly.

·         So, when $4 billion go down the drain every year, how can you expect to pay the salary scale adjustments and from what source.

I    I shall not insist on the $5 billion in bonds that we are nowadays signing as Service of the Debt, because it is a different matter, though it is even more urgent because it also risks to "BANKRUPT LEBANON".

·         Are our leaders  both blind and deaf (or is it done on purpose)?
